James Hopkins

James Hopkins is steadily rising as an artist thanks to his dedication to the craft of DJ’ing and passion for spending time in the studio. Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada he broke into the local nightlife scene in 2012. Highly motivated and always evolving, he now holds residencies at the cities top two underground clubs Gorg-o-mish and MIA. His brand HIDEOUT is well know both locally and abroad, hosting shows with both local and international artists at the cities top venues.

Aside from local success, regular gigs around the US, Mexico, and Europe have helped him gain international exposure. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Carlo Lio and Dubfire among others, his productions have been well supported and played by industry leaders such as Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Stefano nofernini, POPOF and many more. His alias “OHNIN” has also seen him release music on top Techno labels such as refused, Natura Viva, and Myself Music.

2017 will see the launch of his label HIDEOUT Digital as well as a packed schedule for both gigs and releases. Continually moving forward in every aspect, this young artist is one to watch in the near future.
