Volunteer Job Descriptions
Electric Love green team volunteers are leaders in helping attendees, artists and crew to Leave No Trace, one of our founding principles. A green team member is expected to represent Electric loves principles of environmental accountability and sustainability. We ask that you be an ambassador of the festivals 8 founding principles and to help leave the land as we found it.
Camp Clarity Host position requires one year of clean and sober time from the volunteer. You will be the face that guests first meet when arriving in Camp Clarity.
Camp Clarity Recovery Meeting Chairperson position requires six months of clean and sober time from the volunteer. You will setup and chair the recovery meeting that you are assigned to, as well as be the right hand to the Camp Clarity Host.
Camp Clarity Pre-Show and Post-Show setup and teardown. This position requires you to be available for both shifts.
The production crew is the back bone of the festival. From running back line to assisting stages with production to organizing tables and chairs for vendors. We help all departments. Our core responsibility is to run production HQ, stock, supply and aid the with equipment, manpower and vibes of the fest!
As a parking volunteer, you will be responsible for the direction and placement of vehicles and camping spots for attendees as they enter the festival. As a volunteer in this area, you will be one of the 'first impressions' for attendees, and you will be working shifts of up to six hours in the sun. This position requires stamina, and an outgoing and friendly attitude.
Artist HQ is the first stop for artists at Electric Love Music Festival. As an Artist HQ volunteer, you will not only be greeting musical artists, you will be checking them in and setting them up for an amazing experience. Since you will be managing artist camping, you will need to diligent to check passes on all vehicles entering the camp area. During operating hours, Artist HQ is also the place for artists to drop by for information, charge a phone or simply hangout in the shade.
Green Room Hosts
At Electric Love, we want to make sure our artists are having the same unforgettable experience off the stage as they are on the stage. As Green Room Host, your ability to anticipate the needs of our performers will be key! Since the main purpose of our Green Room is to provide an area for talent to prepare before their set and after, your job will be to create a fun, tidy, positive atmosphere for them! All Green Room Hosts must have their serving it right certificate.
Green Room Runners
The Green Room runners at Electric Love, work along side our Artist Liaisons and Green Room Hosts. Your main role will be to provide the requested items in artists riders to the stages, prior to their scheduled set times. This position is perfect for some body who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can do some heavy lifting, and can withstand being on their feet for long periods of time. All Green Room Runners must have their Serving it Right Certificate!
The Street Team
The street team is a group of people who 'hit the streets' promoting Electric Love. Our goal is to build the brand and reach out to potential fans who might not otherwise know about the festival, improve sales and build a loyal fan base in key markets. The street team leads a word-of-mouth guerilla style marketing that takes place throughout multiple communities leading up to the festival.
Merchandise volunteers will be required to set up, maintain and take down merchandise displays daily. As well you will be required to handle cash and keep track of inventory. Those that would like to work with our merch team would be required to provide references due to the nature of the work.
Front Gate is looking for volunteers that can fill several roles including: cash sales, hard copy ticket team, will call, volunteer check in, artist, vendor, merchant check in. Those that would like to work with our front gate team would be required to provide references due to the nature of the work.
Art walk volunteers will help set up and tear down the art walk. This will include setting up displays, walls and installations. You should be able to do some heavy lifting and be able to be on your feet for an extended amount of time.
Workshop volunteers will help facilitators set up, take down and sign up participants for each of their classes. This will include being proficient in setting up the sound for presenters to use during presentations. You will also be required to aide with some set up and tear down of the workshop space. Workshops primarily take place during the day for those that would like their evenings free.
Volunteers will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities in the Family Zone. Duties will include: Daily set up and take down, cleaning up throughout the day (crafts are messy) and assisting all festival goers as they come in and out of the tent. Your primary purpose is to have fun and be as creative you can be!
Ambassadors are our eyes and ears of the festival. You are ensuring that not only are our guests happy on the dance floor but all over our festival grounds. As an ambassador you embody the cultural and the vibes that festival life has to offer. Training will be provided upon arrival.
