ARTIST PROFILE: FAR TOO LOUD
We are beyond ecstatic to announce that the big guns of electro-house—FAR TOO LOUD—will be hitting the stage at Electric Love Music Festival this year!
Since first arriving on the electro dance scene back in 2005, Far Too Loud, a.k.a. Oli Cash out of Brighton, U.K., has gained a serious reputation for laying down the most high-voltage, dancefloor-destroying music. Over the last decade, Far Too Loud has developed a distinctive sound of aggressive funk, hard-hitting beats, dirty basslines, and intricate sound design. Despite the transition from duo to solo act in 2009, FTL’s live performances have never failed at getting a crowd hyped up and losing their minds—in the best way possible!
Heavily-influenced by various styles of dance music, including psychedelic trance and breakbeat, this decade has witnessed Far Too Loud pioneer a far-reaching, innovative sound production. Appearing on stages all over the world, from China to Russia, Europe to the U.S., Far Too Loud has generated an international fan-following, rocking thousands of heads along the festival circuit from Glastonbury, Glade, Boom and countless others.
Winning ‘Best Single’ at the Breakspoll Awards in 2007, FTL broke onto the scene with their massively popular anthem, “Play It Loud.” The song transitioned FTL from its original breakbeat roots to a more progressive, dirty electro house vibe. “Play It Loud” received enormous acclaim upon release and still remains a solid crowd-pleaser to this day. Following chart-smashers including “Bring Back Boogie” and “Megaloud,” as well as remixes for the likes of Lily Allen and The Crystal Method, reaffirmed Far Too Loud’s place among the big guns of electro-house.
Most recently, FTL has released remixes on heavyweight labels OWSLA, Never Say Die, and Monstercat, reworking the sounds of bass-lords Zomboy, Snails and Pegboard Nerds. Celebrating the arrival at 100,000 followers on both Facebook and Soundcloud with some killer free downloads and with the newly released EP, Cocktails of Awesome, 2015 promises to be another colossal year for Far Too Loud.
Well-experienced in delivering live sets packed with uncontrollable energy and mind-blowing madness, you can be sure it’s going to go off when Far Too Loud takes the stage at Electric Love Fest this year!
